Last updated: September 2026. These terms govern the use of the Luxury Kailash Yatra website and the planning conversations that begin here. A confirmed booking is governed by your written booking confirmation together with these terms.
The agreement in plain words
- This website introduces our journeys. The details of your own journey live in your written booking confirmation.
- We publish no prices. Every quote is prepared for you, in conversation.
- A Kailash journey depends on permits, weather, borders and your health. Nobody can promise all four, and we do not pretend to.
- Cancellation is free until 60 days before departure. Inside 60 days, the schedule in your booking confirmation applies.
- Travel insurance is yours to arrange, and our honest advice is to treat it as mandatory for this route.
Who we are
Luxury Kailash Yatra is the premium Kailash Mansarovar service of Nepal Social Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd., a travel company registered in Nepal and operating since 2006. Our office is at Paknajol, Thamel, Kathmandu 25580, Nepal. You can reach us at info@luxurykailashyatra.com, on +977 9704804675, or through our contact page.
Using this website
The website describes our journeys, routes and preparation in general terms. It is information, not advice: not medical advice, not visa advice and not legal advice. Route descriptions, altitudes, departure dates and facilities can change. Nothing on this website is a promise that a permit will be approved, a border will be open, the weather will cooperate, or that any journey is safe for your body. For all of that, the conversation and your doctor come first.
Enquiries and bookings
A booking begins with a conversation: you tell us the journey, the timing and the travellers; we advise and quote. We publish no prices on this website because every journey is planned individually.
When you confirm, we send a written booking confirmation with your itinerary, traveller details, payment amount, currency and due dates. That confirmation, together with these terms, is the agreement between us. Changes to a confirmed booking are made in writing.
Payments
A 30% deposit secures your booking. The remaining 70% is paid according to the schedule in your booking confirmation.
Pay only through channels we confirm in writing: our company bank account or an approved secure card link. Never send money to a personal account. Bank and card charges are handled as set out in your confirmation. Always include your booking reference with your payment. The full guidance, including the verified account details, is on our payment procedures page.
If you cancel
If you cancel more than 60 days before departure, no cancellation fee applies. Inside 60 days, the cancellation fee schedule in your booking confirmation applies. Refunds, where they apply, are made as set out in that confirmation. Some costs, such as permit fees already submitted to authorities, may not be recoverable.
If the journey changes
Mountain journeys meet realities: weather, road conditions, border posts, permit decisions and group health. Borders close and reopen. When something changes, we tell you clearly, explain the options and arrange the best alternative the situation allows.
Where a change brings extra costs, they are handled as set out in your booking confirmation. If we ever have to cancel a departure ourselves, we will tell you early, explain why and work with you on the best outcome, again under your booking confirmation. We do not promise any border, any route, any viewing condition or any weather window. Our route changes guide explains how disruptions are usually handled.
Permits, visas and authorities
Travel to Tibet requires a Chinese visa or Group Visa and internal permits, and these are decided by the Chinese authorities. We prepare and submit the applications, but approval is their decision, never ours and never guaranteed. If an authority refuses, delays or withdraws a permit, we will explain the options, and the outcomes are handled under your booking confirmation.
Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates, and the traveller details you give us must be true and complete. Late or incorrect documents can cost the journey its permits.
Health, altitude and safety
A Kailash journey sleeps at high altitude and crosses a 5,630 m pass. We plan carefully, pace honestly and carry oxygen, first aid and emergency support, including a doctor on call on the Tibet side. None of this is a promise of safety, and no honest operator would offer one.
Before booking, speak with your doctor, and tell us honestly about conditions, medicines and past altitude problems. We may ask for a doctor’s letter. On the route, the guide’s safety decisions, including stopping before the pass or descending, are final, and following them is a condition of travelling with the group.
Insurance
Travel insurance is not included in our journeys; it is yours to arrange. Our advice is to treat it as mandatory. The policy must, in writing, cover high-altitude trekking at the heights this route reaches and emergency evacuation, including helicopter rescue. Our insurance guide explains the wording to look for.
Conduct on the journey
Kailash is sacred to four faiths and the journey passes through living communities. Respect local laws, sacred places, monasteries, pilgrims, communities and crew. Authorities can refuse entry or order departure, and we can end someone’s participation if conduct or safety requires it, with the financial outcome handled under the booking confirmation.

Commercial copying, reselling or scraping of our content is not allowed. The name Luxury Kailash Yatra belongs to Nepal Social Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd.
Accuracy, links and availability
We write carefully and correct errors when we find them, but content is general and can change without notice. The website may be unavailable for maintenance. Links to other websites are given for convenience; those websites follow their own terms, and we do not control them.
Liability
We stand behind our obligations under Nepali law and your booking confirmation, and we do not limit any liability that the law does not allow us to limit. Beyond that, this website is provided as it is, and we are not responsible for indirect losses beyond what the law permits. If something goes wrong, talk to us first; most things are settled in a conversation.
Governing law
These terms and any dispute are governed by the laws of Nepal, and the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal have jurisdiction. We will always try a fair conversation before anything reaches a courtroom.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we change the date at the top. The current version always lives at this address.
